"You want to know what happened in that room, huh? All right, I'll tell you. Fair enough. I was there, after all. -- No, no, I'm not some kind of crazy cultist or anything like that! I was there to rescue Ayu.

"Got your attention with that, didn't I? Yeah, it all happened...back in senior year of high school. Ayu's probably told you all about how his crush played a nasty little prank on him, right? Well, that's not what happened. That's me attempting memory alteration. I couldn't very well make it all hunky-dory and oh yay you two hooked up, because that wouldn't match up with how upset the poor guy felt. So I made it so that his crush was just a dickhead and not a predatory cultist into the bargain.

"Yeah, that guy was bad news. I got a little suspicious when he called Ayu out - I got more suspicious when my buddy didn't come back after a few hours. Make matters worse, I think they knocked Cliff out or something, otherwise he would've sounded the alarm like a good dog. Anyway, since he couldn't, I did - I called over everyone I could, my hitman of a twin brother, campus security, and I got over as fast as I could. Luckily for us, Ayu'd said where they were going.

"We got there just in time. You can probably imagine the scene: diagrams and magic circles everywhere, black drapery, creepy robes, candles...and Ayu out cold on his back on an altar. He was out cold and there was this one freak standing right behind the altar, holding up a sword, right about to kill him. Well, needless to say, he didn't. Things got messy, a lot of the cultists got killed, pretty sure they had to replace the carpet because of all this.

"The demon didn't get summoned thanks to all that, though. Seems they needed a virgin's blood for the ceremony, and that's where Ayu came in. In fact, their little plan was so specific that they needed a virgin dedicated to the demon to pull it off. By dedicated, I of course mean we found a brand on Ayu's back when the doctors checked him. It was pretty fresh and I'll be damned if they didn't burn it onto him. Suddenly, him being out cold in the face of danger makes sense, doesn't it? The pain knocked him out! Monsters, one and all...

"Anyway, campus security dismantled their little space - not well enough, in hindsight - I altered Ayu's memories, and we all hightailed it out. Regarding that brand, we weren't able to remove it, hide it, or disable it. Thankfully, it's in one of those spots that's really hard to see on your own back, so...yeah. There's that, at least.

"Sorry, but revisiting all of this is still pretty painful. To make it worse, Ayu's still vulnerable so long as he's still 'qualified.' If he tries summoning in his room, there's only two ways it'll go: failure or the ritual being finished. They rigged the entire room so that those are the only options, so that nothing else could arrive and interfere. It's why I've been encouraging him to use the public spaces for his assignments, under pretense of being closer to nature and nature spirits.

"Still, it's a matter of time until my little buddy's patience issues get him in trouble...hopefully I can find him a boyfriend and get him disqualified soon."
